Why NetZero

The missing piece of the energy transition

Trillions have gone into wind, solar and electrification, but heavy industry, logistics and marine transport still run on liquid fossil fuels. NetZero is built to close that gap.

The Problem

Heavy industry still depends on diesel

The market wants a drop-in, zero-emission fuel that competes with conventional diesel on price and performance, without infrastructure overhauls.

The Solution

High-margin, drop-in renewable diesel

Our proprietary ultrasonic continuous-flow technology runs a closed-loop process that eliminates the waste, toxic emissions and extreme operating costs that have held back the biofuels sector.

The Opportunity

De-risked and ready to scale

Three years of R&D have de-risked our modular plant architecture. With multiple revenue streams and 50+ initialized site locations, we're ready to scale a profitable clean-energy platform.

Market Needs

The diesel market is under pressure

Supply is tightening, prices swing unpredictably and pressure to cut carbon keeps growing, while demand across essential industries stays locked in. Here is how NetZero answers each challenge.

Market problemThe NetZero answer
Tight diesel supply→A new domestic stream of renewable diesel production built for dependable output.
High, erratic fuel costs→A lower-cost advanced biodiesel technology designed to challenge petroleum diesel economics.
Import dependence→Scalable U.S.-based renewable fuel production that strengthens energy independence.
Carbon pressure→A cleaner fuel pathway for buyers facing rising emissions pressure from government agencies and the public.
Infrastructure barriers→Works with existing storage and distribution channels.
Heavy-duty fuel demand→A practical bridge to lower-emission operations for hard-to-electrify sectors.
Feedstock constraints→Flexible production from globally available, lower-cost feedstock sources.
Commodity waste→Adds value by producing 99.7% pure glycerin alongside renewable diesel.

Engine Compatibility

Running a diesel engine on B100: the limited changes

Most diesel engines built since the mid-1990s can run on B100 with a few simple steps. Nothing about the engine's design changes, and in most cases the same tanks, pumps and fueling routines stay in place.

Check hoses and seals

Engines built before about 1994 may use natural-rubber or nitrile fuel hoses and seals that B100 can soften. Replace them with fluoroelastomer (Viton) parts. Newer engines typically already use compatible materials.

Change fuel filters early

B100 is a mild solvent. It loosens old deposits left by petroleum diesel, so plan to change fuel filters after the first few tankfuls. After that, normal service intervals resume.

Plan for cold weather

B100 begins to cloud at a higher temperature than petroleum diesel (around 32°F for soy-based fuel). In cold climates, use fuel-line and filter heaters, keep equipment indoors, or run a winter blend such as B20.

Avoid copper and zinc parts

Brass, bronze, copper, lead, tin and galvanized (zinc) fittings speed up fuel aging. Steel, aluminum and fluorinated plastics are the right materials for fuel contact.

Watch engine oil

On newer engines that regenerate their particulate filters with late fuel injection, some fuel can reach the crankcase. Monitor oil condition and shorten drain intervals if analysis calls for it.

Confirm the warranty

Many manufacturers approve B20 across their lineups; B100 approval varies by engine and model year. Check the manufacturer's guidance and use fuel that meets the ASTM D6751 quality standard.

Also expect about 8% less energy per gallon than petroleum diesel, which can mean slightly lower power and fuel economy. Keep stored B100 clean and dry and use it within about six months. Guidance summarized from the U.S. Department of Energy's Biodiesel Handling and Use Guide and ASTM D6751; specific requirements vary by engine and manufacturer.
